Heavy Burden closes Operation: METEORITE with a push to the Triumph of Tolerance bridge, an escort back to the hangar and a Seraph battle around the ship. It is the longest and most varied of the three prequel missions.

Heavy Burden mission walkthrough

1. 01

   Reach the bridge and take the nav data

   The first objective is the Triumph of Tolerance bridge. Move through the white interior rooms, use the tractor beams instead of dropping between floors and cross the suspended walkway into the command section. The bridge fight includes heavy Covenant resistance and Hunters, so work from the doorway until there is enough room to enter and take the navigation data.

2. 02

   Escort the survivors to the hangar

   The route then turns back through areas you have already cleared, now repopulated with Brutes, Elites and Jackals. Meet the survivors, keep the group moving toward the hangar and use the upper floors whenever the ground route becomes crowded. Near the end, reactivate the floating transport and survive the gondola ride through the Covenant platforms.

3. 03

   Drop the shields from the Seraph

   Once the survivors are clear, the objective changes from escape to destroying the ship. Launch in the Seraph, take down the external generators and stay near the Burden of Proof when Covenant fighters attack it. When the last generator drops, clear the target area and let the UNSC fire mission finish the job.

Completion tips

The mission keeps switching between corridor fights, escort movement, a gondola defense and space combat. Refill before every transition instead of assuming the next room uses the same loadout.

• A Needle Rifle and portable Active Camouflage appear near the start. Remember that the left tractor beam goes up while the right beam goes down and slows you.
• On the gondola, the center console is the safest place to hold. Prioritize enemies that board the platform and do not jump away for ammunition.
• In the Seraph, lead Plasma Beam shots with the HUD circle and use Fuel Rod lock-on. When marked fighters threaten the Burden of Proof, protect it before returning to the generators.
