Privacy Policy
Learn how Halo: Campaign Evolved Wiki handles local storage, analytics, advertising cookies, consent choices and correspondence.
Effective date: July 27, 2026
Scope and information handled by the site
This policy applies to Halo: Campaign Evolved Wiki at halocampaignevolve.wiki. The site is an independent guide and does not currently offer accounts, comments, public uploads or direct form submissions.
Hosting and security infrastructure, including Cloudflare, may process IP addresses, request headers, browser and device information, requested URLs, timestamps, approximate region and security logs to deliver the site, prevent abuse and measure service reliability. These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies.
Local browser storage
Checklist progress and your privacy choice are stored locally in your browser. They are not attached to an account or submitted to our application server. The privacy choice is stored under hce-privacy-consent-v1. You can remove these records by clearing this site's browser storage, although doing so resets your checklists and privacy choice.
Embedded video
The official trailer uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com embed and loads only after you press play. Once loaded, Google/YouTube may process device, network and interaction data under its own policies. You can use the guides without loading the video.
Email and correspondence
If you email us, we process the address, message and related technical details to respond, investigate corrections, handle legal or privacy requests and prevent abuse. Correspondence is not published as user-generated content unless we obtain permission. Do not send passwords, account tokens or unnecessary sensitive information.
Analytics and consent
Google Analytics is optional. Google Analytics remains blocked by default and is loaded only after you select Allow analytics in the privacy choices panel. When allowed, Google may process page URL, referrer, browser/device information, approximate region and interaction events to produce aggregate usage reports.
Consent Mode v2 defaults analytics and advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalization to denied. Analytics page-location events omit query strings and URL fragments so that values someone manually adds to a URL are not intentionally sent with those events. We also disable Google signals and advertising-personalization signals in the current analytics configuration.
You can reopen Cookie & privacy choices in the footer and change your analytics decision at any time. Declining optional analytics does not prevent access to any guide. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Advertising cookies and identifiers
Current status: as of the effective date, the site loads the Google AdSense connection script for site verification and future advertising. No publisher-selected ad units are currently displayed. Loading the script may still allow Google to receive technical request data such as an IP address, browser headers and the requested page. The disclosures below also explain the processing that may occur after advertising is approved and enabled.
When ads are served, third-party advertising vendors, including Google, may place or read cookies on your browser or use web beacons, IP addresses, device information and other identifiers. These technologies can be used to deliver ads, select and limit the frequency of ads, measure performance, provide reporting, prevent fraud and protect advertising systems.
Third-party vendors, including Google, may use advertising cookies to serve ads based on a user's previous visits to this site or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve personalized ads based on visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. Personalized advertising may use interests or prior activity. Non-personalized ads are selected mainly from contextual information such as the current page, general location derived from an IP address and browser or device type, but may still use cookies or local storage for frequency capping, aggregated reporting, fraud prevention and similar purposes.
If another third-party advertising vendor or ad network is enabled, it may use its own cookies or identifiers under its own privacy policy. We will identify active advertising providers and make their privacy and opt-out information available before using them.
You can manage or opt out of personalized Google advertising through Google Ads Settings. You may also use YourAdChoices to manage participating companies' personalized-advertising cookies. Opting out of personalization does not necessarily remove all advertising; it changes how eligible ads are selected. Browser controls can also block or delete cookies, although this may reset site preferences.
More information is available in Google's advertising technology explanation.
Regional consent for advertising
Before serving Google ads to users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the site will activate a Google-certified consent management platform (CMP) integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework where required. The CMP will provide the required disclosures and choices before advertising cookies, local storage or personal data are used for personalized advertising.
The site's current privacy panel controls optional analytics only; it is not presented as the certified advertising CMP. Personalized or non-personalized ad serving will not be enabled for those regions until the required advertising consent implementation is in place. Consent or refusal will not be used to block access to guide content.
Personal information, location and sensitive data
We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, telephone numbers, account credentials or the content of correspondence to Google in analytics or advertising requests. The site has no account profile or advertising audience system, and it does not build advertising audiences from sensitive information.
The site does not request browser or device permission for precise GPS location and does not collect precise location coordinates. Hosting, analytics and advertising providers may derive a general area from an IP address as described above; that is not a request for precise device location. If a future feature needs precise location, this policy and the consent flow will be updated before collection begins.
Retention and security
Local checklist and consent records remain in your browser until you clear them. We retain correspondence only as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, keep a correction record, meet legal obligations or prevent abuse. Infrastructure providers may retain security and service logs according to their own documented schedules.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no Internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices
You may reject optional analytics, reopen the footer privacy controls, avoid loading embedded videos, clear locally stored checklist progress, manage advertising personalization through the links above, and request access to or deletion of correspondence we still hold where applicable. Contact contact@halocampaignevolve.wiki.
The site is intended for a general gaming audience and is not directed specifically to children. We do not knowingly collect account or profile information from children because the site does not provide accounts or public submissions.
This policy may change when site features, advertising providers or legal requirements change. The effective date will be updated for material revisions.
