Fast setup on The Pillar of Autumn

Load Rally Point Bravo in The Pillar of Autumn. The achievement can be attempted on any difficulty, but Easy gives you more room to manage the Marines without being killed. A solo run is also easier to control because another player can pull the group in the wrong direction.

Continue until Captain Keyes gives you the pistol. Before leaving the bridge, turn around and kill him. Six hostile Marines will enter to avenge the captain. They cannot be killed, so the rest of the attempt is about moving the whole group rather than winning the fight.

How to trap all six Marines

1. Let all six reach the bridge. Do not sprint straight into the observation area. Wait near the center until the entire group has entered and is firing at you.
2. Pull them toward the front observation pen. Back away in short steps so the Marines keep a clear line of sight. If one stops behind a console, move sideways until it starts following again.
3. Use melee to correct the last few steps. The Marines are invincible, but a melee hit can nudge one through the opening. Push from behind instead of standing in the doorway and blocking it.
4. Keep yourself outside the pen. Once a Marine crosses into the lower observation enclosure, circle away and collect the next straggler. Do not lead the trapped group back out.
5. Count all six before moving on. The condition is not satisfied with five inside and one still shooting from the bridge.

The awkward part is the final Marine. The group tends to spread around the captain's station, so use the central consoles as cover and work on one straggler at a time. You are not trying to survive indefinitely—just keep enough shield to cross the doorway again.

If the achievement does not unlock

• A Marine is missing: check both sides of the captain's station and the bridge entrance. One can stay behind a console while the others follow.
• The group walks back out: draw the loose Marine from the side of the doorway rather than standing in front of the trapped group.
• You die during the setup: reload a checkpoint from before killing Keyes. A checkpoint created after the Marines have split up may preserve a bad arrangement.
• The condition still does not register: restart Rally Point Bravo, leave difficulty modifiers off and repeat the route in solo play.

This is a deliberate side challenge, not part of the normal campaign route. Finish it on a separate attempt, then return to the Pillar of Autumn walkthrough for the standard mission and collectible path.
