What Fully Evolved actually requires

Fully Evolved is the completion reward at the end of the achievement list. Halo Studios lists 58 achievements and trophies in total, including Fully Evolved, so the practical job is to finish the other 57 entries on the same platform profile. There is no separate mission, score target or activation step for Fully Evolved.

The wording covers both platform systems: complete every achievement on a platform that uses achievements, or collect every trophy on a platform that uses trophies. You do not need to complete both lists. Before starting a cleanup run, open the full achievement list and compare it with your platform list. Work from the missing names rather than replaying the campaign without a target.

The official list says difficulty modifiers do not block Fully Evolved itself. That does not remove the restrictions attached to its prerequisites. Eleven other entries are marked as blocked by difficulty modifiers, including the Heroic and Legendary campaign clears, several no-death challenges, MYTHIC, Map Quest, Jiralhanae Conservationist and All Shield, No Yield. Check the restriction shown on the individual achievement page before launching a mission.

A practical 57-achievement cleanup plan

The 57 prerequisites fall into groups that can be cleared more efficiently than a page-by-page random order.

GroupEntriesBest time to work on it
Mission completion13Your first full campaign clear
Campaign difficulty4Full campaign runs with the required difficulty and allowed settings
Collectibles18During campaign missions, using the Skull and Terminal directories
Campaign Remix3A separate Remix run, with no-death attempts kept apart from exploration
Cumulative combat actions6Normal campaign cleanup where failure does not reset the whole attempt
Skull and LASO challenges5After collecting the required Skulls and learning the relevant missions
Mission-specific challenges8Dedicated short attempts with the exact condition in view

1. Finish the campaign and collect by mission

Use the first campaign clear to bank the 13 mission-completion achievements and learn each route. Collectibles are also organized by mission: the list contains one “find all Skulls and Terminals” achievement for each of the 13 missions, plus the broader Terminal and Skull milestones. Check the Skull directory and Terminal directory before leaving a mission instead of treating all 18 collectible achievements as one final search.

This approach gives every pickup more than one purpose. A Terminal contributes to the 13-Terminal total, its mission collection achievement and the game-wide collection achievement. Skull pickups also advance the one-Skull, 22-Skull and 39-Skull milestones. If one collection achievement remains locked, narrow the search to the mission named in the missing entry.

2. Separate cumulative tasks from clean-run challenges

Bad Gas, Plate Tectonics, New Whip, Disarmed, Claims Adjuster and Make Them Count count repeated combat actions. Work on those during ordinary mission cleanup, where a missed opportunity does not invalidate an entire clean run.

Keep strict challenges in their own attempts. Map Quest forbids shooting, grenades, melee, dying and restarting. Hot Streak forbids jumping and dying while Floor Is Lava is active. Beat the Drop and Mix Master require deathless Remix clears, while All Shield, No Yield allows shield damage but not health damage on Heroic or higher. Mixing one of these attempts with collectible detours or combat farming adds failure risks without helping its condition.

3. Save exact Skull combinations for focused runs

Four achievements name a specific Skull setup: Hot Streak, Even Tempered, Like Old Times and Frugal Fire. MYTHIC requires the full LASO campaign. Collect the required Skulls first, then confirm the active set before launching the mission. Do not add unrelated difficulty modifiers to an achievement that the official list marks as blocked by modifiers.

Treat MYTHIC LASO as its own campaign project rather than the final task in a mixed cleanup session. Like Old Times also deserves a separate Two Betrayals run because it requires Speed Limit, Endurance Spec, Hip Fire and Armistice together. Frugal Fire requires Famine, Recession and Johnny Ammo Seed, then asks you to finish before running out of ammunition; adding another ammo restriction only makes that condition harder.

Conditions worth checking before each attempt

  • Campaign difficulty: Heroes Never Die and Living Legend are marked as blocked by difficulty modifiers. Use the required difficulty and leave other modifiers off.
  • Campaign Remix: Beat the Drop covers one deathless Remixed mission. Mix Master extends the no-death requirement across an entire Remixed campaign.
  • Map Quest: Start The Silent Cartographer prepared to avoid every prohibited action. Death or a restart is part of the failure condition, not just lost time.
  • Jiralhanae Conservationist: In The Most Dangerous Game, do not kill a Brute while it is rampaging. Use the dedicated route before the encounter.
  • All Shield, No Yield: Play on Heroic or higher and protect the health bar for the entire level. Losing shields is not the same as taking health damage.
  • Fully Evolved: It has no modifier restriction of its own, but it cannot complete while one of the 57 prerequisites is still missing.

If Fully Evolved does not unlock

First, compare the platform achievement or trophy list with the site checklist one name at a time. A missing campaign difficulty, per-mission collectible entry or cumulative combat milestone is easier to overlook than a mission-completion trophy.

Next, inspect any incomplete entry marked “Difficulty modifiers prevent unlock: Yes.” Replay only that requirement with the listed difficulty, mode and Skull setup. Do not begin by deleting a save or repeating every mission; Fully Evolved has no separate route that can repair an unfinished prerequisite.

For collectible cleanup, identify the missing mission achievement before searching. For challenge cleanup, open the individual achievement page and keep its failure condition visible during the run. Once the platform list shows all 57 prerequisites, refresh the platform achievement or trophy screen and relaunch the game before committing to another full campaign playthrough.

Fully Evolved FAQ

Do I need all 58 other achievements?

No. The official list contains 58 entries including Fully Evolved. Complete the other 57 achievements or trophies, and Fully Evolved is the final completion entry.

Do I need both Xbox achievements and PlayStation trophies?

No. The official condition uses “achievement” and “trophy” for the corresponding platform systems. Complete the list attached to the platform profile you are playing on.

Can I use difficulty modifiers?

Fully Evolved itself is marked “No” under “Difficulty Modifiers Prevent Unlock.” Eleven prerequisites are marked “Yes,” so a modifier can still stop one of the achievements needed for completion. Follow the setting rule on each prerequisite page.

Can co-op help with the completion list?

Halo Studios presents the achievement hunt alongside two-player console split-screen and four-player online co-op. Individual challenge conditions still apply, so check the specific achievement before assuming one player’s action or mission result will satisfy the whole Fireteam.
